Help others
The most successful people are the ones who have spent the most time and energy helping others. When you help other people, they remember you warmly and are more likely to reciprocate in the future. When you need their support and assistance they will be there for you.
While it may be possible to become successful without helping others, it is worth asking yourself what you plan to do with your success once you have it. The dream of earning millions of dollars or becoming a world renowned expert may sound exciting, but you might want some friends to celebrate with. Otherwise you end up like a rich but lonely miser who counts piles of money every night.
When you help many people, the word gets out and you end up with support from more people than you originally gave to. People don’t talk to their friends and family about experiences that merely meet their expectations. They talk about surprises – things that they either really appreciated or greatly disliked. If you help people in ways that exceed what they expect, it will be talked about and the effects will be far-reaching.
