See the shades of grey
While your perception may trick you at times into thinking that something is either 100 per cent bad, or (on those happy occasions) 100 per cent good, nothing is ever 100 per cent black or white. There are millions of shades in between.
If you dislike some people or situations you are in, you may see them as being all bad, but if you look back you will probably realise that your perceptions do not correspond with reality. Harbouring anger only affects your own happiness in the long-run, so it is better to hunt for, and remember, the good things about any people or situations you do not like.
Every time you find yourself becoming angry, remind yourself of the positive aspects of the situation or people involved. Gradually, your feelings will change. Even if the situation never improves, reducing your anger will make you
more productive. Anger wastes your own time more than it affects others.
